Born in Michigan and a Doctor of Chiropractic that has practiced in Boone for the past 28 years, Batchelor has created one of the busiest Chiropractic Practices in the U.S. and lectures internationally regarding management, profitability, efficiency and quality service and he is a consultant to doctors around the world. He has held every office and received most of the honors within the North Carolina Chiropractic Association and was the youngest to hold the office of NCCA President.  Since playing a cavalry officer in the Mel Gibson film, The Patriot, he has been obsessed with Filmmaking as an additional profession. As an actor in independent and major productions, his knowledge of pre and postproduction technology and his business experience he has excelled in the demands of movie production.  Batchelor relates well to acting and to actors and crew due to his experience in a wide variety of activities and sport. He is a polo player and movie horseman. He is also a Black Belt in Karate, a Scuba Diver (certified), and a Licensed Pilot (Bush pilot). He is experienced in car racing and licensed motorcycle driving (dirt and road), sailing, windsurfing and surfing. He is an expert water skier and an intermediate snow boarder. In the past has competed in many triathlons in and outside the U.S. , including the Nice World Triathlon Championship in France and has training in adventure racing, rock and mountain climbing.  Dr. Batchelor has traveled and filmed internationally.  Some of the most recent films he has acted in are Miami Vice (2006) with Jamie Foxx & Colin Ferrell, Grave Dancers (2006), and Tolerance (2006).  He studies Spanish and escapes to his home in a Costa Rica surfing village to recharge. Batchelor is obsessed with the desire to make the most out of life and to provide outrageous service to anything he is involved in. His contributions to A Tale About Bootlegging include (the role of Dr. McKendrick, an eccentric Scottish Doctor), directing, camera, editing, mountain location management, marketing, aerial photography and he holds the position of Executive Producer and Co-Director.
